AI Chatbots Are Disrupting Digital Advertising
AI chatbots like ChatGPT are not just answering questions — they’re changing how brands connect with users. As OpenAI announced in April 2024, sponsored content integrations are coming, and conversational advertising is emerging as the next big trend.
If done right, this will transform the future of digital marketing, creating new, trust-based ways for brands to engage consumers.
How AI Chatbots Are Reshaping Digital Advertising
Digital advertising was once ruled by:
Google Ads (targeting search intent)
Facebook Ads (targeting detailed personal data)
But a Gartner report now predicts that 25% of online searches will happen via AI chatbots by 2026 — disrupting search behaviors and traditional ad models.
Users expect direct, conversational answers — bypassing web pages filled with ads.
New Opportunities for Marketers in AI Chatbots
Brands that want to succeed must create ads that blend naturally into conversation flows without losing user trust.
Here are five innovative conversational advertising strategies:
Sponsored Recommendations Seamlessly suggesting sponsored products when users ask questions.
Product Mentions in Content Recommending sponsored airlines, hotels, or tools inside travel plans or workflows.
Chat-Integrated Promotions Offering exclusive deals or discount codes naturally during conversations.
Premium Listings in Comparisons Featuring sponsored brands higher in comparison lists or as bonus options.
Interactive Brand Experiences Offering optional mini-chats with brand-sponsored "experts" inside the main chatbot experience.
Why Transparency and Value Will Define Success
In chatbot advertising, user trust is everything.
To succeed:
Clearly label sponsored content.
Keep ads highly relevant to the user’s intent.
Ensure ads add real value to the conversation.
Misleading or intrusive ads will quickly destroy user trust — and the brand's reputation.
Final Thoughts: Conversational Ads Are the Future
Advertising in AI chatbots marks a pivotal shift in digital marketing. Brands that master conversational advertising early will capture new audiences, deeper engagement, and long-term loyalty.
Get ready — the future of advertising isn’t search or social media alone anymore. It’s conversation.

how c.ai works and why it's unethical
Okay, since the AI discourse is happening again, I want to make this very clear, because a few weeks ago I had to explain to a (well meaning) person in the community how AI works. I'm going to be addressing people who are maybe younger or aren't familiar with the latest type of "AI", not people who purposely devalue the work of creatives and/or are shills.
The name "Artificial Intelligence" is a bit misleading when it comes to things like AI chatbots. When you think of AI, you think of a robot, and you might think that by making a chatbot you're simply programming a robot to talk about something you want them to talk about, and it's similar to an rp partner. But with current technology, that's not how AI works. For a breakdown on how AI is programmed, CGP grey made a great video about this several years ago (he updated the title and thumbnail recently)
youtube
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you watch this because CGP Grey is good at explaining, but the tl;dr for this post is this: bots are made with a metric shit-ton of data. In C.AI's case, the data is writing. Stolen writing, usually scraped fanfiction.
How do we know chatbots are stealing from fanfiction writers? It knows what omegaverse is [SOURCE] (it's a Wired article, put it in incognito mode if it won't let you read it), and when a Reddit user asked a chatbot to write a story about "Steve", it automatically wrote about characters named "Bucky" and "Tony" [SOURCE].
I also said this in the tags of a previous reblog, but when you're talking to C.AI bots, it's also taking your writing and using it in its algorithm: which seems fine until you realize 1. They're using your work uncredited 2. It's not staying private, they're using your work to make their service better, a service they're trying to make money off of.
"But Bucca," you might say. "Human writers work like that too. We read books and other fanfictions and that's how we come up with material for roleplay or fanfiction."
Well, what's the difference between plagiarism and original writing? The answer is that plagiarism is taking what someone else has made and simply editing it or mixing it up to look original. You didn't do any thinking yourself. C.AI doesn't "think" because it's not a brain, it takes all the fanfiction it was taught on, mixes it up with whatever topic you've given it, and generates a response like in old-timey mysteries where somebody cuts a bunch of letters out of magazines and pastes them together to write a letter.
(And might I remind you, people can't monetize their fanfiction the way C.AI is trying to monetize itself. Authors are very lax about fanfiction nowadays: we've come a long way since the Anne Rice days of terror. But this issue is cropping back up again with BookTok complaining that they can't pay someone else for bound copies of fanfiction. Don't do that either.)
Bottom line, here are the problems with using things like C.AI:
It is using material it doesn't have permission to use and doesn't credit anybody. Not only is it ethically wrong, but AI is already beginning to contend with copyright issues.
C.AI sucks at its job anyway. It's not good at basic story structure like building tension, and can't even remember things you've told it. I've also seen many instances of bots saying triggering or disgusting things that deeply upset the user. You don't get that with properly trigger tagged fanworks.
Your work and your time put into the app can be taken away from you at any moment and used to make money for someone else. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people who use AI panic about accidentally deleting a bot that they spent hours conversing with. Your time and effort is so much more stable and well-preserved if you wrote a fanfiction or roleplayed with someone and saved the chatlogs. The company that owns and runs C.AI can not only use whatever you've written as they see fit, they can take your shit away on a whim, either on purpose or by accident due to the nature of the Internet.
DON'T USE C.AI, OR AT THE VERY BARE MINIMUM DO NOT DO THE AI'S WORK FOR IT BY STEALING OTHER PEOPLES' WORK TO PUT INTO IT. Writing fanfiction is a communal labor of love. We share it with each other for free for the love of the original work and ideas we share. Not only can AI not replicate this, but it shouldn't.
(also, this goes without saying, but this entire post also applies to ai art)

°💸⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:・Your 2H Sign = How To Make More $$$ 💳⋆.ೃ💰࿔*:・

Your 2nd house is the part of your chart can show you the best side hustle ideas to increase your income. Look at the sign on your 2nd House cusp, its ruling planet, and any planets sitting there. They symbolize out how you monetize.
The 2nd House is the House of Possessions: movable assets, cash flow, food, tools, anything you can trade. The sign on the cusp sets up your style of 'acquisition' (Taurus = slow‑build goods, Scorpio = high‑risk high‑reward holdings), while the ruler’s dignity and aspects describe reliability, or lack thereof, of income.
Planets inside the 2nd act like tenants shaping the property: Jupiter here inflates resources, Saturn conserves but can pinch, Mars spends to make, Venus monetizes aesthetics.
Because the 2nd is in aversion to the Ascendant (no Ptolemaic aspect), you often have to develop its promises actively: wealth isn’t “you,” it’s something you must manage. So, let's look at the kind of side hustles you can do to increase your revenue!

Thank you for giving us a heads up you'll most likely remove your works. I enjoy your writing so dearly and downloaded a good chunk of them 💕
I really haven't decided yet.
Part of me knows it's a lost cause. The scraping of the entire internet started years ago, and my 1.3 million words on AO3 have already helped create the chatbots that teenagers use to have cybersex with robo-John Cena. The bell cannot be unrung. Everything I've ever written and posted online has already been stolen, chewed up, and fed into the "Burn the earth while making Sam Altman richer for no fucking reason" machine. Deleting my words now won't change that.
Maybe genAI will die out. It's not profitable and it has very few uses beyond helping braindead college students write shit essays, essays that I have now helped them plagiarize simply by being a person who puts my words in public. No matter how many words get fed into the machine, genAI will never be able do what the charlatans selling it say it will do, so maybe it's fine that they were allowed to pillage the creative endeavors of every living person for their lies that cannot possibly come to fruition.
But it reminds me of that Futurama episode where people have ads beamed into their dreams. The concept is such a violation, and our capitalist society would absolutely do if they knew how.
My daydreams and hobbies and obsessions have been monetized without my permission or knowledge. "Scraped," like someone took a tool and just forcibly chipped them off a wall in broken pieces to be mixed up and mashed up with everyone else's silly, smashed-up dreams and eventually vomited out in a way that is pleasing to corporate men.
If the only way for me to exist online is to feed that machine, then I don't know that I want to exist. If every creative idea that comes out of my head is gobbled up by people like Mark Zuckerberg, then the world is better off without my ideas.
That's how I'm feeling right now, anyway.

You know what that anon a bit ago who insists that fandom is not a community or a social hobby reminds me of? Those dumbasses who look at fandom from the outside, notice that self inserts are popular and that fic is largely unmonetized, think they're seeing a business opportunity, make a flirt-with-your-Blorbo chatbot, and then wonder why it's not selling.
The chatbot enterprenuers think that fandom is about consuming fanworks. They genuinely believe that no one wants to create -- that we just want to enjoy the finished product all on our own with our own self inserts -- and so they believe that a chatbot makes it easier for us to get the fandom experience we want. They miss the fact that the entire point of fandom is squeeing about the blorbos with other fans, and that a self insert fic is a way of expressing that squee and inviting readers to join in (they also overestimate the prevelence of self inserts, and completely miss why fandom is minimally monetized in the first place, but that's another matter). They also miss the fact that many authors write fic because writing fic is fun in and of itself, not just as a means of producina a finished work.
Anon seems to be in the same boat, they seem to have mistaken fandom for a small production company that produces works for others to consume, and not a losely interconnected system of communities and social circles that exist to share passions.

Top Digital Marketing Trends to Watch in 2025
As a Best Freelancer Digital Marketer In Palakkad we step deeper into the fast-paced digital world, 2025 is already shaping up to be a game-changing year for marketers. Technology, consumer behavior, and global dynamics are evolving rapidly — and so should our strategies. Whether you're a business owner, a startup founder, or a fellow digital marketer, staying ahead of the trends is essential.
Here are the top digital marketing trends to watch in 2025:
1. AI-Powered Marketing Will Be Mainstream
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a buzzword — it's the engine behind everything from customer service chatbots to personalized content recommendations. In 2025, AI tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, and automation platforms will be used to craft content, optimize campaigns, and enhance user experience in real-time.
Pro tip: Leverage AI to automate mundane tasks and focus on strategy and creativity.
2. Hyper-Personalization Will Drive Conversions
Generic messages are dead. Consumers now expect brands to understand their preferences, behavior, and intent. With the help of advanced analytics and first-party data, brands will create ultra-targeted content, emails, and offers.
Example: E-commerce platforms will serve unique homepages to different users based on browsing history and location.
3. Voice Search & Smart Assistants Are Growing
With the rise of smart speakers and mobile voice assistants, voice search optimization is a must. In 2025, more than 60% of searches may be voice-based. Brands need to optimize for conversational keywords and FAQs.
Action point: Start creating content that sounds natural when spoken aloud.
4. Short-Form Video Remains King
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok — short-form video is here to stay. In 2025, expect platforms to double down on this format with new monetization tools and discoverability features.
Strategy tip: Invest in authentic, value-driven video content. Consistency is more important than perfection.
5. Privacy-First Marketing Will Dominate
With increasing regulations like GDPR, and the phasing out of third-party cookies, marketers must prioritize ethical data use. First-party data collection (via signups, polls, etc.) will be more important than ever.
Solution: Build trust by being transparent with data collection and use tools that comply with privacy laws.
6. Influencer Marketing Gets Niche
Instead of chasing big influencers, brands are now working with micro and nano influencers who have loyal, engaged communities. In 2025, ROI-focused influencer partnerships will outperform one-off brand deals.
Idea: Partner with local creators who align with your brand values.
7. SEO Evolves with AI and Semantic Search
Google and other search engines are becoming more sophisticated. In 2025, keyword stuffing won’t work — semantic relevance, user intent, and E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) will be key.
Tip: Focus on helpful content, not just rankings. Google rewards real value.
Final Thoughts
Digital marketing in 2025 is all about authenticity, adaptability, and agility. As a freelance digital marketer based in Palakkad, I’ve seen how local businesses can thrive when they embrace innovation early.
If you're a brand looking to stay ahead in this evolving digital landscape, now is the time to upgrade your strategy and ride the trends — not chase them after they’ve peaked.
Let’s connect! Feel free to message me if you need help implementing these strategies for your business.

From the very first use, however, AI Mode crystallized something about Google’s priorities and in particular its relationship to the web from which the company has drawn, and returned, many hundreds of billions of dollars of value. AI Overviews demoted links, quite literally pushing content from the web down on the page, and summarizing its contents for digestion without clicking:
. . .
Meanwhile, AI Mode all but buries them, not just summarizing their content for reading within Google’s product but inviting you to explore and expand on those summaries by asking more questions, rather than clicking out. In many cases, links are retained merely to provide backup and sourcing, included as footnotes and appendices rather than destinations:
. . .
Now, both AI Overviews and AI Mode, when they aren’t occasionally hallucinating, produce relatively clean answers that benefit in contrast to increasingly degraded regular search results on Google, which are full of hyperoptimized and duplicative spamlike content designed first and foremost with the demands of Google’s ranking algorithms and advertising in mind. AI Mode feels one step further removed from that ecosystem and once again looks good in contrast, a placid textual escape from Google’s own mountain of links that look like ads and ads that look like links (of course, Google is already working on ads for both Overviews and AI Mode). In its drive to embrace AI, Google is further concealing the raw material that fuels it, demoting links as it continues to ingest them for abstraction. Google may still retain plenty of attention to monetize and perhaps keep even more of it for itself, now that it doesn’t need to send people elsewhere; in the process, however, it really is starving the web that supplies it with data on which to train andfrom which to draw up-to-date details.
------
My biggest fear is that you're getting what google wants you to know, rather than the actual information. Now maybe the two are one in the same. But maybe they're not.

It's All Open Source Now, Babeyyyy,
Probably not very many will see this, but Anyway, In light of shifts in how my views on copyright and intellectual property have changed, here is something I realized I should get around to posting: Anyone at all can consider litcherally anything I write and post online to be completely and utterly open source. https://archiveofourown.org/users/BeetlesMcGee It's not like it's some kind of huge treasure trove, but do whatever the hell you want with it. Literally whatever the hell you want with it. World's your oyster and bob's your uncle, champ. Paste it into any chatbot you want. Put it in some kind of roast or cringe compilation or hatefic. Lift bigass chunks out of it and then find a way to monetize that, even. Literally whatever, not a single scrap of permission or credit necessary. I am completely, absolutely serious. If it's something where I don't want that to happen for some reason, then I just won't post it in the first place, simple as that. While I do still strongly stress that you still should care about other people's boundaries, and that by extension, I also will continue to abide by the automatic assumption that nobody else wants their work treated this way unless they directly say otherwise: In regards to my own work and own ideas, I am done with the whole concept of copyright and intellectual property. Done. Permanently. So, to anyone who's interested, have fun! You can also reblog this with your own links if you feel the same way, but only if you wanna. It's also completely fine to add *some* conditions for yourself, rather than just going completely unrestricted with it like me.

very similarly to how the ai in education argument highlights the issues with academia in the first place I think ai in fandom highlights its issues as well. sure you can use ai for quick roleplaying just like you can use ai for assignments that would be more beneficial for the student to complete without it, but the majority of the stuff under scrutiny is slop.
The observable problem with academia is that the structures of it demand students output as pointlessly and efficiently as an llm, but with fandom it's harder to approach because no one wants to talk about the commodification and consumption of hashed and rehashed and triple hashed content. Even in the example I used about roleplaying, the motivation for that is to get a workable product quickly to skip to the activities in focus.
You can put it in idealist terms and say whoever does that doesnt have the "love for the game" but the reason for the phenomenon is the point of interest existing shifted towards consumption and away from creation. We all joke about tags being flooded by x reader imagines but honestly- there is a demand for slop driven by what informs fandom culture. either the people on the slop only diet make an llm spit it out or they start discourse over why no one's making it for them for free. The role of being a creator is just not in the equation here at all so arguing it with these hyper-passive consumers is pointless.
honestly I think it's reflective of the greater culture shifts that influence western fandom exagerrating. The less niche and perverted (using that word in the social division way) your interests are the closer the fandom experience will be to a sort of clout fueled service industry. this is where you see shit like creators getting frustrated that archive site mechanics like ao3's won't give them a useable clout output like social media sites, senses of entitlement for what is understood by the audience as voluntary but by the artist as unpaid labor requiring a form of payback. the split between monetization and communal collaboration blurs hard.
anyways my main point is that if you like a popular thing, and you like popular fandom cliches within the popular thing, there's no reason to be surprised or reactionary or upset a chatbot can do the same thing as the hundred of creators you look to for regular content: regurgitate in new and interesting patterns. or to be confused when the chatbots and llms are given the same level of reverence as those creators, which is a pedestal of officiality and nothing more
#not very well articulate so I hope this is understandable#thinking out loud#had to work hard not to cross the line into mainly arguing that the types of stuff people have started to use ai for are like Lesser lol#slop is mostly a neutral observation with a little judgement. to each their own yk#just trying to point out that there is a unique equation happening thats been happening in fandom for a while#and ai just makes it visible and accelerates it a little#lots of people get really set on thinking they can order around the real world like its a playground roleplay game#the powers and demands at play will do their own thing lol no matter how many angry psa's get posted#txt#opinions

8. Rise of Niche and Community-Based Platforms
Users are moving toward smaller, interest-based communities rather than large social networks. ✅ Specialized Platforms: Platforms focused on specific interests (e.g., fitness, gaming, fashion) will grow. ✅ Stronger User Engagement: Smaller communities foster deeper connections and higher engagement. ✅ Subscription Models: Exclusive content and community access will drive monetization.
👉 Example: Discord and Reddit thrive on niche, interest-based communities.
9. Greater Use of Influencer and Creator-Led Content
Influencers and content creators will continue to dominate social media marketing. ✅ Micro-Influencers: Brands will focus more on micro-influencers for higher engagement and authenticity. ✅ Creator Monetization: Platforms will introduce more revenue-sharing options for creators. ✅ Brand-Influencer Collaborations: Direct collaborations will become more strategic and long-term.
👉 Example: TikTok and Instagram’s creator funds encourage influencers to produce more content.
10. Integration of AI-Generated Content and Deepfakes
AI-generated content and deepfakes will become more common—and controversial. ✅ AI-Driven Ads: Brands will use AI to create hyper-personalized ad campaigns. ✅ Deepfake Risks: Platforms will need to regulate AI-generated content to prevent misinformation. ✅ Creative Opportunities: AI tools will enable more creative content production at lower costs.
👉 Example: AI-generated influencers like Lil Miquela have already gained significant social media followings.
How Businesses Can Prepare for the Future of Social Media
✔️ Invest in Short-Form Video: Focus on platforms like TikTok, Reels, and Shorts for maximum reach. ✔️ Prioritize Authenticity: Engage with audiences using real and relatable content. ✔️ Embrace Personalization: Use AI-driven insights to deliver more targeted content. ✔️ Adapt to Privacy Changes: Align your strategy with evolving data privacy regulations. ✔️ Experiment with AR and VR: Integrate immersive experiences to enhance user engagement.

I love the CES, it validates my belief that most tech inventure capitalists are extremely stupid, out-of-touch, and derivative. I basically believe, at our current level of technology, 80% of consumer problems have been solved. (Note: consumer problems are NOT societal problems like energy or healthcare)
And 10% of the remaining problems are monetization features created BY these consumer electronics companies.
This is why I don’t think LLMs and generalized AI are financially viable. Most “personal assistant” needs are already met by Siri-level bots. The best use cases are, like, writing emails or cheating on homework. There’s no major inconvenience a chatbot can really solve.
If I were to guess, we won’t see another tech revolution until we get VERY significant robotics breakthroughs.
#arbitrary code execution#people will pay hand over fist for a robot that just takes out the trash and rev#recycling
